Setup Sequa MCP
The Sequa Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the bridge that connects Sequa’s powerful knowledge graph to the tools you use every day, like your IDE and AI chat clients. Setting it up allows your favorite tools to tap into Sequa’s deep, system-wide context, enabling more powerful and accurate AI agents.
The setup process is designed to be quick and simple, with no manual API keys to manage. You will select your tool and copy a ready-made configuration snippet directly from the Sequa interface.
How It Works: Tool-Specific Configurations
Sequa provides a dedicated setup page that generates a unique, pre-formatted configuration for each tool you want to connect. This configuration contains all the information your tool needs to securely communicate with Sequa’s MCP endpoint for your specific product.
This approach means you never have to handle raw API keys. You simply choose your tool, copy the snippet, and paste it.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Navigate to the MCP Section: From your Product’s main page in Sequa, find and click on the “MCP” tab in the sidebar.
- Select Your Tool: You will see a list of supported MCP-enabled applications. Click on the tool you wish to connect (e.g., “Cursor,” “VS Code,” “JetBrains IDEs”).
- Copy the Configuration Snippet: A block of text containing the configuration for your selected tool will be displayed. Click the “Copy” button to copy the entire snippet to your clipboard.
- Paste into Your Tool: Switch to your application (e.g., Cursor) and open its settings. Find the section for MCP or Sequa integration and paste the entire snippet you copied.
That’s it. Your tool is now connected to Sequa’s knowledge graph.
